Stunning vintage 1940s dress by Hattie Carnegie with matching jacket. Made for I. Magnin. Dress is slim fitting with a tiers below the hips above a gorgeous brown and white genuine fur skirt. There is a super fine gauge metal zipper in back. The jacket has covered buttons and a fitted waist. The jacket is fully lined in taffeta. The dress is not lined. The first tier appears to be an alteration to make the dress shorter, this can be let back out to gain about 2 inches. The other tiers may or may not be original to the dress. The dress is in excellent condition. The jacket shows only some fading on the lining and very light wear to the I. Magnin tag. See last photo.

No size tag. Fabric appears to be a very soft wool, possibly cashmere, or a blend. There is no stretch to this fabric. Best fit for an XS to Small. Please leave room for ease of movement.
